Murano Tronchi Glass Tube Chandeliers — Mid-Century Italian Lighting
The Tronchi glass tube chandelier is one of the most recognizable forms in mid-century Italian lighting. Born from the creative explosion on Murano island during the 1960s and 70s, these chandeliers broke away from ornate Venetian tradition with clean, cylindrical forms that are minimalist yet warm, architectural yet organic.
Each glass tube is individually mouth-blown by master glassmakers on Murano, resulting in subtle variations in thickness, transparency, and light transmission that are impossible to replicate by machine. When illuminated, the tubes transform from solid glass into columns of warm, diffused light.
Our Collection
We offer glass tube chandeliers in sizes ranging from compact 8-tube models — ideal for bedrooms and hallways — to monumental 101-tube installations for grand entrances and double-height spaces. The collection includes classic amber-toned glass, crystal-clear variants, the cool Ice series, and multicolour options. All chandeliers are available in multiple frame finishes including chrome, matte gold, and polished brass.
